  • Be kind to yourself. Research shows that self-compassion increases the likelihood that you'll succeed in any given endeavor. Don't beat yourself up! Look at your past behavior, find the opportunities to learn and grow, and go for it.
  • Set achievable goals. You are not going to instantly transform your body. Expecting too much, too soon leads to frustration. Remind yourself to not be discouraged by what you can't do or how far you have to go - instead, focus on results and consistency.
